Indonesia’s advertising market will be the highest performing in the Asia Pacific during 2010 in terms of growth with a ~20 percent increase this year, according to Media Partners Asia.

The economy is expected to increase by more than 6 percent over the next two years, driven by private consumption and investment.

At the same time, net advertising revenues are expected to climb at an average annual rate of 11.5 percent over the next five years, the second highest in the Asia Pacific.

TV, with its growing national reach and increasing household consumption trend as well as advantageous CPMs, continues to dominate ad spend patterns.

At the end of 2010, television had more than 68 percent share of the advertising market. TV-based media owners MNC, Trans, SCTV and Indosiar have seen profits expand at a significant pace.
